This year marks the North Jersey Community Research Initiative (NJCRI) 30th year anniversary, a milestone in our storied history! Our gala event which took place October 25, 2018 will surely be one for the books. The outpouring of support from our partner organizations, donors, vendors, business associates, community leaders and dignitaries was truly heartfelt. The love and unity in the room was contagious! The inspiring words shared by our honorees and amazing performance by Melba Moore were true highlights. NJCRI continues to be a voice for those that are silenced by stigma, fear, and discrimination, and this wouldn't be possible without your support. 260 guests attended and due to your generosity NJCRI was able to raise over $38,000! We service community members no matter their ability to pay. These funds will help cover uninsured cost, provide more nutrition and medication adherence education to our clients, and maintain quality medical care for those who need it most in our community.
Special thank you to our host reporter, and host of WPIX 11 “Celebrity Taste Makers”, Lisa Mateo, our musical guest Joshua Nelson, and the impeccable Melba Moore, and many partner organizations Rutgers Medical School, University Hospital, Newark PRIDE, UrbanOut, Artfront Galleries, and our amazing Sponsors Hackensack Meridian Health, Janssen, Gilead, University Hospital Newark, Magone & Company, P.C., PFSP, and R&S Pharmaceutical.
